Eric Gibson is the Senior Director of Market Development for Industrial and Outdoor Products at Acuity Brands and has 36 years of experience in the lighting industry including lighting design, lighting calculation software development, sales, marketing, product development and market development.Eric received his Bachelor of Science degree in Illumination Engineering at the University of Colorado, and his Executive Masters of Business degree at Mercer University in Atlanta. Eric has worked for multiple lighting manufacturers but most recently he began working with Lithonia Lighting (now Acuity Brands Lighting) in 1999.He has been a member of the Illuminating Engineering Society since 1988 with involvement in several different committees including the Education Committee, the Lighting Software Committee and was involved in the drafting of the IESNA / IDA Joint Model Lighting Ordinance. Eric is currently a member of the Environmental Outdoor Committee and is involved in the planning committee for the TM-15 update, and the NEMA Outdoor Lighting Task Force.
